Last week was possibly the best week i've had trading in close to two years now. Most definitely the best i've had since before and coming back from my travels. All the info on the trades and gain can be seen over at Myfxbook. I've now added a link next to all the social media pages on the left of this post.

With my failed attempt at keeping this blog updated last week i'm not entirely sure what shape or form this is going to take over the coming weeks and months. I'd like to keep it updated and use it as a journal of sorts but i'm too busy trying to get my trading on the right track and keeping it there.

Maybe i'll just stick with the occasional chart dump of set ups that I really like.

Who knows?
I missed the first morning of my new approach to the blog yesterday. Maybe it would be better suited to writing a blog post in the evening or detailing any trades I took.

I've taken several trades over the last couple of days which can all be seen here. Each trade has it's own chart and is either annotated or explained in the notes.

Bit up and down but i'm pretty happy with how it's going so far. The main issue being discipline and sticking to the thought processes I have before looking to take any trades.

Early days at the moment but i'm looking forward and feeling good about my approach as a whole.

"Who the fuck is KinsaleForex?!" I hear you scream in unison. Well, maybe two of you.

Yes, I do still exist.

I'm back with a change of account and ready to go. Took my first live trade with the new account last Friday. Got started a little later in September than expected but it's nice to move off demo and get up and running again.

With the move away from spread betting and on to lot based trading using MT4 it has allowed me to make use of Myfxbook. The multiple diaries I have for logging my trades have now become a little redundant as Myfxbook does most if not all of the work for me. I decided i'd start using the diaries to write down my thoughts on the pairs each morning before I got started. It has since occurred to me that I don't have enough space on one page in a diary to write all my thoughts.

So i'm back, and for the foreseeable future that is what i'll be using the blog for. Thoughts on volume, projected targets with the PnF, higher timeframes, lower timeframes, my PnF scalping and, of course, a combination of all the above.

I'm excited to fall back into it again!
For those of you wondering, I didn't disappear off travelling again! Although it's always a tempting thought. I've been busy working on the scalping strategy I mentioned the last time I posted. Whilst it hasn't been brilliant, I am finding it incredibly promising. I think i'll be fine tuning until the end of the summer months and perhaps going live (risking 1%) on my new account at the start of September.

Which leads me to my next point, i've finally had enough of Finspreads Spread Betting, taken the plunge and moved to a "real" trading account. After a bit of research and recommendations from friends I decided to go with an ECN broker called IC Markets who are based in Australia. Tiny spreads are always an attraction - especially when scalping - but it was their Trade Terminal EA that won me over. Giving me the ability to fine tune my trades based on percentage risk / monetary risk and many other options. I liked how easy it is to place a trade without having to work out required lot sizes myself.

So that's pretty much all my news for now, hope you're all keeping well and most importantly, trading well.

Cheers,

Liam
The return of the wordle!

For all of you attentive readers out there, i'm still around, just about!

My ISP seems to be doing everything in their power to make sure I don't trade. Our broadband was down for just over five weeks since the last time I posted and only came back as of a week or so ago. I just haven't got around to posting since.

I'm backing trading again and working on a PnF scalping strategy that i'm very much excited about. I'll be running it alongside the longer term PnF stuff that i've been posting about more recently. It seems to have been a bit quiet lately. Not very usual for this time of year is it? Feels a bit like summer trading. As always, i'll still be incorporating VSA into the mix.

Come to think of it, that's pretty much all I have for an update. I might post some charts soon but to be honest at the moment i'm a bit more concentrated on nailing down this strategy than posting a whole lot of updates.

With regards to the new strategy i'm working on, i'm feeling great about it. Not "great" like the other strategies, but something much, much better. This feels...different. If that makes any sense?

It appears to be suited to my style as a trader and whilst it's really early days in the grand scheme of my trading career, i'm seeing opportunities really frequently. Whilst every trader understands the need to keep emotions in check, i'd go as far as to say i'm allowing myself to get a little excited about it.

Hang in there, it's gonna get interesting around here!
