Firstly, I've been fiddling with the blog a little bit over the last couple of days. The first change I made was to put all the results from previous years into a drop down menu as the bar was starting to fill up a bit too much!

Secondly, i've uploaded charts for last year.

Thirdly, i've used the Google Code Playground to make the pie charts all pretty and interactive! So have a play and let me know what you think.

There's one more change i'd like to make to the blog that I just can't get my head around. So if anyone has some decent coding knowledge, give me a shout. I'm more of a trial and error coder!

Funnily enough, playing with the blog and making those pie charts has kindled an interest in my actual trading charts and progress again.

Stay tuned!
Firstly, happy new year to everyone that passes through here. I hope it is a profitable year for everyone!

I did say in the last post that I wouldn't be contributing very much to this page but after reading a post by +Trin Café I was inspired to write this and let people know what's going on with me, outside of trading. (Ok, there's some trading chat as well...)

Since my last entry I haven't done a whole lot when it comes to trading. In fact, i've barely looked at a chart. I had my P&F charts nicely up to date at the time of posting but they've fallen behind again. Having said this, I updated them after being away for four plus months. So what's another month? Shouldn't take me too long.

It's been a crazy few weeks that's for sure. I won't be going into too much detail but it was good to get over to the UK to visit friends and to spend Christmas with family that I hadn't seen in a very long time. Too long.

I was back in Ireland for New Years Eve, which passed messily but memorably. I had a good night anyway!

I've been back on Irish soil since the 24th October so this post has been a long time coming. Not quite the six month trip I had intended on undertaking but I managed to hit the four month mark. Simple fact is I ran out of money.

The trip was, of course, outstanding! When I moved my flights back home, I thought I was ready to come home. Lots of stuff happened out there, filling both sides of the emotional spectrum and I thought I'd had my fill.

I was so wrong.

I don't know how much i'll be around these parts at the moment, i've only recently moved into a new place and got set up with internet access. This, coupled with not really being in a blogging mood will probably see sporadic updates at best.

I was going to say it's good to be back, but I don't think it is, half of me is still out there!
It's finally here! Tomorrow morning i'm off travelling to South East Asia with two good friends for six and a bit months!

For anyone that's interested, we've set up a blog for the trip that you can find here.

Hard to believe it has come around so quickly but i'm relishing the trip as well as a break from trading. I'll be back with a vengeance in January 2014. I've a lot of ideas and development plans for my trading that I want to implement upon my return. But that's all going on the back burner for now.

I wish everyone safe and profitable trading for the remainder of the year and i'll speak to you all soon!

Cheers,

Liam

So i'm finished for the year and here are the results on a per trade, per week and per month basis.

All this works out to me being down 1.33% for the year. Considerably better than last year anyway. To be honest i'm pretty happy with how things are going. With a little more focus and without a 6 month trip to be planning for I reckon i'm pretty much there. Have to think about how i'm going to approach my trading when I get back but i'll have a lot of time whilst i'm away on a beach to put some thought into all that!

Cheers,

Liam
