Didn't take any trades today and finished the week with -2.54% from yesterday. With the royal wedding thing in the UK there was a bank holiday so things were a bit quiet today. There's also a bank holiday on Monday of course. Getting a bit tired of them now! Last one until August I think.

We're now a third of the way through the year so i'm going to do up some fancy charts tomorrow showing my progress to date. Probably pie orientated.

Cheers,

Liam
I took another trade in the second half of the day. Unfortunately this resulted in a loss for the first time in a month. I set my order on the high of a test on a trigger line. It was a valid test but once it didn't trigger after two bars I should have cancelled the order. The test had failed. I ignored my own rule and left it in for one more bar. It triggered and went up about 18pips before falling and stopping out. I probably should have put my stop to break even as well but I was out of the house at the time. I must admit i'm pretty annoyed with myself in this instance. But there ya go. Live and learn.

Trade 34 - EUR/USD - Buy @ 1.4821 -  Closed @ 1.4786 = -35

Taken one trade today already. Made a small bit of profit, but more by luck than judgement. I'd like to stress this isn't a good trade!

Trade 33 - EUR/USD - Buy @ 1.4853 -  Closed @ 1.48576 = +4.6

I drew my trigger in as usual from the high volume bar. Looking at it now it's probably not a great trigger number as it was early in the day. Anyway, the price moved above it and tested. Mistake 1, price didn't move enough away from the trigger number. It was moving sideways along it. Mistake 2. The test actually fails, the next two bars are down. Unfortunately i'd already been brought into the trade. From here it got close to stopping a couple of times before that widespread up bar luckily brought me into profit and I closed out. A few lessons learned that's for sure.

Plenty of time left in the day and still US GDP to come.

Bit of a slow week for trades for me. A lot of movement today on both Cable and Eddie. News announcements largely contributing to that. Still two days left in the week, i'll get my opportunity.

US GDP tomorrow so that will no doubt give me a decent trigger number.

Cheers,

Liam
Didn't take any trades today but it was good to get back to some sort of normality with no bank holidays etc. Good few news announcements this week so there could be some interesting moves.

Cheers,
