I'm late posting but i've backdated to the day I made the trade.

All information is on the chart. Very happy with the trade and it brough me back into positive for the year! Entry on the 15min, 5min chart posted for another, possibly better entry.

Hello, long time no post!

Yesterday was the best day i've had trading since the 25th of May. It feels great to finally have a trade hit the target without me toying with it and coming on here to post or writing in my diary that "it would've hit the target".

Despite patting myself on the back and growing myself some confidence, I did learn one major lesson yesterday; Leave the fucking trade alone.

I had to go out around half an hour after I set the trade yesterday. It was good to be out and about and not sitting in front of the screen monitoring. It got within about 10pips of my stop at one stage. I can say confidently that I probably would've manually closed the trade had I been sitting in front of the computer.

Also annotated on the chart is a short I could've taken but I was at work at the time.

Cheers,

Liam

Confidence is such a big issue for me at the moment. A couple of missed opportunities again today, due to hesitance or not trusting myself / the set up.

I didn't blog yesterday but I made 1 pip on an EU long. Once again this would have been a good trade, hitting my usual 3% target but I bailed because, well, i'm not entirely sure why to be honest. Fear I guess.

I feel like i'm able to make the calls for the most part, but seeing them out just doesn't seem to be happening for me.

Really have to work on this, does anyone have any tips?

Cheers,

Liam
I wanted to write this entry to try and drill it into myself that I have to trust the trade set up that I enter into. I feel that my initial analysis and choice of entry on a trade is generally pretty good at the moment. The problems start occurring once I'm actually in the trade. I just can't seem to get a hold of my emotions. I see things that aren't there and don't see things that I should be seeing.
I'm currently going through what I'm sure nearly every other trader has also gone through. My losses are far outweighing any winning trades that I make. A lot of these have come down to personal error. I'm interested to go back through my handwritten diary and web written blog and note how many times I've said something along the lines of "it wouldn't have hit my stop, but i closed it and it would've hit my target. I fear that it's quite a high number.

With this in mind, there are still positives, I am actually making good calls to a certain extent. I'm just not following through or controlling my emotions once I'm in the trade.

With today's trade I lost 1.76%. With some patience i'd be looking at a 3+% win for the day.

My account currently sits at €4,635.13. That's a 7.29% draw down since the 1st of January.

A lot to work on I think.

I mentioned moving house in my last post, which has since happened. Only got internet connectivity back as of yesterday so i've missed two and a half weeks of trading and charts. Looking forward to getting back into it as of Monday morning.

Time to concentrate and study even more. Reasonably happy with how things have gone so far but have a good few things to iron out before Christmas and the new year. These cold wintry months are the best time to concentrate on doing that.

Hope everyone is well.

Cheers,

Liam
