Been a bit ill for the last couple of days so didn't do much today. Watched the NFP news announcement come out and that moved the markets around a considerable bit. Particularly Eddie and Cable. Didn't take any trades though. Going to try get some rest over the weekend and start again on Monday.

Took my first trade of the year today, unfortunately this resulted in a loss. There was some high volume on a down bar on Eddie. Looking back there are a few things I did wrong. Probably jumped the gun with the no supply indicator. Should have waited for a bit of an upmove before hand. Not to mention placing my stop on an even number as well.

Here are the screen shots;

Not a great deal to report from the day, plenty of volume but nothing set up for my strategy. Cable, Eddie and Swissy were the main charts I was looking at. I thought Eddie was going long and Swissy short at around 5ish. Didn't get the respective signal on the 20min whilst it was there on the 15min. Just as well I didn't get the signal as I would have been stopped out by now. I need to look at that tomorrow, see where I read it wrong. Short update cos i'm sick and going to bed.

The new year is definitely under way, a good bit of volume around on the charts today and lots of movement to go with it. Unfortunately I didn't take any trades for the day. I very nearly did, but because of one pip, I didn't!

I identified a set up on hourly Eddie, high volume up bars including a pretty big upthrust. I flicked to the 20min chart to wait for my No Demand entry. The bar that was looking like it was going to form into a No Demand actually closed as an even bar and I decided not to set my order. An hour later it had hit my potential profit target! Doesn't matter really, it's just one of those things. The charts are below.

Been spending a lot of time on Forex Factory the past week, in particular the VSA thread, there seems to be a wealth of knowledge there whereas it seems to be lacking on the Trade2win forums. A lot more people have been visiting this blog through Forex Factory as well, which is good to see.

That's it for today,

Happy new year everyone!

Today was quiet enough for my strategy, bank holidays across the world so not a lot of volume!

Just a quick note really, tomorrow starts my trading for real, looking forward to starting with a winning trade.
