Looking at my post yesterday it turns out I was wrong. I took a long position based on the hourly charts, it was in profit for quite a while, but several rejections of the 1.2978 area (high of the 4h zone) helped it to push down. I decided to leave the trade run over night but I was stopped out around 2:30am.

1hr chart, a 2BR entry into the 50% of the high volume move from Wednesday. Was up around 25 pips before those rejections I mentioned above.

Based on some volume prints I'm think we'll get a long opportunity or at least a decent retrace. Some nice high volume on 1hr and 15min charts on the lows as well as the highest 4hr volume i've had since the middle of February. Watching for bounces from the high of the 1hr and 15min area around 1.2945 for a potential long position. It's also entirely possible we retrace to the 1.2930 area - close and 50% of the hourly and 50% of the 15min.

Disclaimer - This isn't a trade call, just what i'm seeing at the moment. Anyone who is foolish enough to follow what i'm saying and open a position based on this deserves to lose money. You have been warned!
Yesterday was a bank holiday in the UK, so it wasn't a trading day for me. Having said this, it was the most active bank holiday I can remember seeing for a while. There was actually one nice entry that passed during the day. We printed some odd volume in Asia and this formed the base for the rest of the day, with a nice 2BR entry off the high of this zone. Lovely entry.

As for today, I don't have much to say about it, several areas were respected but I didn't really find an entry of any sort. Just one of those days with a reasonably tight range, as can be seen on the right hand side of the chart.

Spent some more time with my Dad over the weekend and got my confidence right back on track, through looking at charts and doing some coaching with him. I feel a lot better about it all after reviewing not only charts but myself as well. Looking at my relationship with the market, with money and most importantly my own emotions.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully get an opportunity per my strategy.

Cheers,

Liam

Not a lot to report to be honest, hence the slow updates. I've not really seen any set ups that I really like or feel that i've missed. I tried an experimental long on Tuesday night and let the trade run over night. Took a small loss on that, but it was only a test anyway so i'm not really bothered about it.

I upgraded my middle screen so I now have a nice display for my Oil charts along with the other two. The previous one was a bit too small. This is the last of a series of ongoing updates that i've been making to the set up. Now it's time to pay for it all and then a lot more by trading what they are displaying!

Another thing I've been working on the last couple of days is my vision board. Goals, targets, things to aim for. In the middle, getting my account back up to the starting point. Around the outside, places I want to see, things I want to own, things I want to do. Even having it on the wall in front of me is inspiring. I've been meaning to do it for ages, glad I got around to doing it now!

Cheers,

Liam

Not a great month by any means!
